Well this probably won't help much...but, it might make you feel just a wee bit better. I am in debt to the Department of Education....The Federal Gov. for $36,000+. And I have been in default on these loans for a very long time. So long that I may not even be entitled to ever collect my social security. And, until I became disabled in my mid 40's I had worked since I was 14. You have come to the right place to get help.

Moon, you definitely show positive energy with your post. Being in debts is just not the end to everything. You can still come out of it through with proper planning and a perfect plan. There is no creditor who doesn't want to get his money back. Since you have student loans, they have to be paid as there's no SOL. You can make them work on your terms.
cutiepiemiya, talk to a debt counselor referred by this website. He will figure out a plan and make payment arrangements with your creditors.
