Sorry to hear about your husband.

If you gave your phone number when you registered here, take the free counseling call. They'll help you explore your options. You aren't obligated to use them, but if you have any company help you with your debt, do plenty of research before you sign anything. The BBB, FTC, your attorney general, this website, etc...all are good places to look to try to determine if a company is reputable.

Welcome to the Community :D I'm sorry to hear about your problems, but you have come to the right place. Like Morningstar said, someone will contact you and discuss options you may have such as consolidation. You can put all your unsecured debts into one monthly payment, with lower interest. I would take care of my basic needs first, such as home, food, car, medicine, etc, then worry about the rest. We are here to help guide you and answer any questions!!..Karen

Nett, I will pray for your husband's speedy recovery.

When you get the consultant on the phone, talk to him about settling the debts with your creditors. I think this option looks best in your situation. You will save more money in this plan, unless you can afford the repayment plan set in consolidation.
