I guess this would be about the right place to post this. Anyway I just returned to my desk at work and my area secretary gave me a message and described the call to me as follows:

The Message was:

Call Mr.Williams 1-404-592-0233

Then he said that the man seemed sorta rude. When he answeared the phone the gentleman said "Gary Fish please" to which the secratary said that I was off in a meeting and asked to take a message and return number (Listed above). Then the man proceeded to ask the area secretary who my supervisor was, to which he was given the name, then he asked to speak with him, to which he was told he was in the meeting I was in. Then the man asked for my supervisors direct number, which isn't allowed to be given out (hence the area secretary). The man asked how to get in touch with my supervisor and the AS said the calls came through this phone to be routed. So the man asked why he was answearing the phone for my supervisor and I. When the AS said he was the seratary for this area the man hung up.

I personally do not know a Mr.Williams and can only suspect it is for some type of debt consolidation. The phone number when ran just comes up as a land line in Atlanta Georgia. Personally my company does not allow us to make long distance phone calls unless it is of high importance. That is why I am looking for some information on this Mr.Williams at phone 404-592-0233(Who would not give his first name).

Any information about this fellow or his organization would be greatly appreciated as I do not like to call back places that I know nothing about.

The only payday loan I have had to my memory is already being paid off through another agency. Thank you all for the calls, I just felt bad for our secretary having to deal with him. It doesn't sound like anything too important and I guess he can wait until I get home this evening to give him a call.

When calls come into our office and they just ask for someone by name, I try to find out who they are and who they are with and if they refuse to tell me, I ask if it is a personal call and proceed to tell them that we cannot take personal calls here at work. Most of the time I get hung up on before I can get that far, but might be worth a try.

Next time he calls ask him where to send a payment. Then send him the debt validation letter instead. These people try to hide from communication by mail saying they only accept western union or plastic or ACH or numbered checks. That is not true. They are tough nuts to crack but you can do it.
