I am looking for a good recipe for chili.....anyone have a good one? Mine is a bit too bland......... :D

I have a real good chili recipe if you like the type that is red with ground meat and red beans. The Texans will dis me however. Its just the usual Browned meat and onions and garlic. Crushed tomatoes Cumin, chili powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, hot sauce. Worcestershire, a teaspoon of instant coffee. Add cooked or canned beans after simmering for an hour, thicken with refried beans and heat through.. Reseason to taste. If you like alot of heat add diced habeneros towards the end but please be careful not to touch your face, eyes or any other sensitive spots. Serve with stone ground corn bread. And lots of beer. Yum!

I forgot to say that you should way over season it as it will naturally mellow the longer it rest. It is really hard to make it too spicy. At least for me. And even more beer than you think you need. Please don't drive.

How is this going to help people get out of debt? Or maybe they won't care anymore!

frogpatch....don't make me open up my can of whoop azz on you too :) That's it, lets just get everyone drunk and then they won't care about their debts anymore:)

And before anyone gets offended...I am JOKING about that...not telling people with real problems to get drunk and forget about it......I figured I better write a disclaimer for this so I don't get my azz jumped.......

Hey I am happy to kick in....I'll even bring a blender so we can make some mixed drinks.....frogpatch...you gonna bring some beer?

6 lbs bulk sausage (sage, italian both work...avoid maple)
2 lbs ground beef
2 lbs cubed beef (sirloin/tri tip/rib-eye/whatever)
4-5 28 oz cans stewed and/or crushed tomatoes
3 (10 oz?) cans tomato paste
3 (10 oz?) cans diced/sliced green chilis
3 large onions, chopped
beans to taste

SPICES (measurements to taste)
chili powder
bay leaves
garlic
garlic powder
cumin
assorted peppers (cayenne, black, red, etc...)
salt

Can also add veggies, like corn and fresh carrots.

Brown sausage.
Drain.
Brown cubed beef.
Add liquid to pot.
Brown ground beef, then onions.
Drain.
Sautee (?) garlic in pan with butter.
Add all ingredients to pot.
Heat until, uh, hot.
Eat.

Makes around 4 gallons...

Enjoy with strawberry margaritas-good thing you've got that blender Sassn!

This is a pub? Now I really want a beer!

Irish Car Bomb...my favorite pub drink

Half pint or so of Guiness in a glass
Shot glass 2/3 full of Irish Cream, topped off w/ 1/3 Irish Whiskey.
Drop shot glass into Guiness.
Chug your chocolate milk.
Repeat until keg is dry.

Your recipe sounds delicious, Morningstar. Okay, you asked how this can help people in debt? You S-T-R-E-T-C-H the chili. I used to do this when my kids were small, and they loved it. Just make a bunch of rice, mix with the chili, add some shredded cheddar cheese, and you've got enough for an army.
