I am looking for a good recipe for chili.....anyone have a good one? Mine is a bit too bland......... :D

Me? Tweety wanted a chili recipe. I just said beer and all hell broke loose. Lets not offend anyone with a heartburn problem by mentioning chili either.

I get it so I can joke about it. Good advice: Never eat ice cream after drinking beer.

OMG I love me some White Castles......too bad there aren't any here. I only get them when I go to Columbus for concerts. Now Taco Bell on top of beer? That is enough to give anyone heartburn or worse!!
frogpatch.....thanks I will try to remember that one.....*note to self* stay out of the Haagan Daaz when drunk....

Now the talk of chili ~ I brown hamburger, drain and put in a pot, add red beans, packaged chili seasonings, tomato sauce and canned tomatoes and I am done. Quick and easy here! LOL

I also love White Castles. When we go to KY to see family, we try to get some. Sorry but the ones you can buy in the freezer section of the store just don't cut it. Someone told me Krystals was almost as good as White Castles, but never tired them.

I miss the good ole A&W Drive In's. Root Beer Floats in a frosty mug!!

Also not much of a beer drinker here. Like the drinks I can't tasty the alcohol in. Pina Colada's are my favorite

2nband...I haven't heard any Tim today at all!!
I agree, the white castles in the store aren't the same. Plus they are extremely expensive. OMG KRYSTALS!!!!!!!!!!! Till I was 15 I lived in Alabama and we ate Krystal's all the time!!!!!! That is the last time that I ever had any. My grandpa loved them. They are the bomb!!! Now I want to go to Alabama. Krystals are better than WC, actually. At least they were when I was a kid. There is an A & W about an hour from here and I went there on the way to Ft. Wayne and it was not the same. When I lived in Idaho for a year we had A & W and it was so good but the last time I had it here in Ohio it was nothing like it was in Idaho.

PINA COLADAS!!! YUM! I like drinks where I can't taste the alcohol too and pina coladas are my favorite. I cant find too many others that like them but I think there is nothing better than pineapple and coconut!

My Rx would have been 250mL of tequila, stat.

Ok. So it's about 15 minutes before last call, and a police officer walks into the bar. He orders a water.

The officer leans against the bar, and observes the crowd. He notices one guy who looks particularly inebriated. The man stumbles to the bar and orders a water, which he nurses.

As the barkeep shuts down the bar, the man staggers out to his car, and drops his keys twice. The cop sees all of this, and watches incredulously as the man gets into his car. Immediately, the cop walks up to the driver's side window and taps on the glass. As the man opens the window, the cop orders him to get out of the vehicle. The man complies, and the officer gives him a breathalyzer test. In the meantime, every bar patron has left the area.

The cop views the results of the breath test, and can't believe it: 0.00! The man, seeing the officer's confused look, says, "Oh...I'm the designated diversion."

Disclaimer time: I do not support drunk driving, that was only a joke.

Watching the Colbert Report last night, I had a good laugh when Stephen profiled a "Hometown Hero Town." A towing company in some small city is advertising a service where they'll tow you and your car from a bar when you're too drunk to drive, and too drunk to remember where you parked. Cost? $85. If you make a reservation, it's $65. To paraphrase Colbert, it's awesome to have someone support safe driving, while at the same time supporting binge drinking!

I am a bit late but I have not had white castles since I moved from Jersey a few years ago. I soooo miss them. The ones that you microwave from the store are actually pretty good but there is nothing like eating them fresh while your driving up the highway. All those little boxes all over the floor of the car. We have somethiong called Krystal Burgers down here in Fla. but they are a knock off. I want to go home.

frogpatch, Krystals are the BOMB!!!

And, I feel your pain. I want to go home too. My home is New Mexico but I am stuck here in Ohio.

Morningstar-funny story!! $65 to tow you and your car? I wouldn't have any money to drink after that!!! So that would completely defeat the purpose!!

Oh...I didn't care much for the frozen WC burgers. I guess it's the steamed ground beef. Harold and Kumar OTH, was great.

Yup...$65...that's 6-8 Irish Car Bombs. That's why I bring a friend with me, he doesn't really drink. I buy him a burger and a coke, and I don't get a DUI and/or a bad conscience.

Now do you guys know how bad I want a white castle or a krystals burger now? Thanks a lot...I'm screwed. Neither one of those places anywhere near here :(

Guess I'm gonna have to make me an irish car bomb now......yeah I would opt for buying a friend a burger and a coke as opposed to DWI or $65 for towing. As for me, there is a bar like 2 blocks from my house so if we want to go party, we walk!!!!

Could not tell you the last time I was in a bar. We just don't go to far. Am going out with a girl friend next week. She has some free tickets to a dinner/movie theater. That is one of those where you go for dinner and get to watch a movie at the same time. Girls night, hubby at work and kiddo's home. I need a break too stressed lately. Also, she told me it would be her "anniversary" gift to me. Then I found out that I am having a "party" for memorial day!!! Reason at my house, because of the pool! Well, guess since it is here, I can let my hair down and have a few and not have to worry about driving and if anyone else drinks, they can crash on the couch!

That sounds like a lot of fun. I don't really have any friends I hang out with much and to be honest the one that I used to have drinks way too much. Like every day. I don't mind every once in a while but I like to do stuff other than drink. The party sounds like fun!!! Are we invited? :) JK

Sure!!! I am in NC, so come on up, down, over, which ever. I am a light weight when it comes to drinking. I am usually giggling after a couple. Don't like to be around people who drink all the time either. I don't see what fun it is to wake up feeling like crap the next day.
