a collection agency sent a settlement letter to me giving me until April 17th 2007 to pay in full.

However the debt is well over three years old.
What letter should I use to repond to them they have stressed that they are going to get a judgement against me if i dont pay in full by April 17, 2007.

I don't understand your post. The title references re-aging a debt, and the content refers to settlement negotiations.

Is the debt actually beyond the SOL?
What type of debt is it?
Where was it accquired?
When was your last payment?

Has information regarding the nature of the account been falsified?

April 17th? This is May.

Have you sent a debt validation letter already?

Save the letter...if you are unable to reach satisfactory terms with the CA and they do not sue you, file against them for fdcpa violations. Check your local courthouse...see if a suit has already been filed against you.

Full confusion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the payment was set to be done within April 17th and you haven't done it, probably they are going to send summons to you. Make sure that you don't miss the court date otherwise they will get a default judgment against you.

This was all about the collection agency making the settlement offer? Are you getting calls from the original creditor also?
