An intimidating call from the CA.

Has anyone ever dealt with these people? Can they send a validation by regular mail before you ask for it and claim you got it when you didn't. This was out of left field about a half an hour ago.

when you post in the pub you don't get points for it. Wow, what a weird phone call. I guess she thinks if she is pleasant then she can say as much rude stuff as she wants. Wow. I do not know the answer to the question but I am sure someone does. She sounds like a real smart mouth.

Call that lady again and get your address verified by her. You will know if she is lying about sending you a letter. Tell her that you are not sure of their company if they are authorized to collect for Magnum Cash Advance. Therefore you need to see something in writing before any payment is done. They should have no problems in validating the debt again if they really have your file. I will be suspicious if they are not ready to send the info.

She did verify my address but mine is one a several hundred mail boxes in a block for everyone in my complex. I don't get some of my mail and I get some other peoples. Without a delivery confirmation how can she prove I got it and the required info wasn't in it anyway.

I think the only way she really can verify that you got it was if it was sent certified mail, signature required. Otherwise, you could always say that maybe someone else grabbed your mail and didn't give it to you, etc. Also, how does she know it wasn't lost by the post office, right?
I don't think that's a great argument and would push for a validation letter sent by her.
