Here is email I received from the newspaper in Florida. They want to know all of your stories. I already told them I would send them their way.

Quote:
I would be very interested in talking with you about Bass & Associates, and debt collectors in general. Can you give me a call or tell me how I can contact you.

Thanks

I will be very happy if you guys can help innocent people dealing with Bass and Associates. Everyday, there are so many people complaining about this CA. And they never seem to stop.

Cajun and Anthony, if you need any help from our side, let us know. It will be interesting to see some actions against this CA who're violating the collection laws on each phone call.

Regards
Mike

I see history repeating once again. Same things happened when Ellis Crosby was into action. The FL AG took actions and there was a case against them. I heard Ted Crosby filed for bankruptcy and he was not heard anymore because he started business with a different name. Is he now under Bass and Associates?

This is GREAT!!!!!!!!!! Cudos to everyone involved!! But I do need to say something here, and I quote my stepbrother, who is a producer for a MAJOR newsshow: In order to really get media attention, we MUST have people willing to come forward, that is, share their stories with their real names, be quoted in the paper, etc. Otherwise, the paper runs the risk of being sued for slander and libel. If it makes statements against this company, it has to be able to back them up.

I thank you and Anthony for this opportunity. Me and my mom were made victims on Friday and she feels that its no hope and we should count our losses and learn from our mistakes. I can't accept that now that I know that while they were accusing me of breaking a law they were the ones actually breaking the law. I will send my email now to the reporter.

Even though I am not exactly pleased with this site today with all the ongoing drama,I will post an update to this topic.I just got off the phone with our reporter and he is hopping around like a good dirt digger. He is checking out the other firms in his town against other city averages and will be contacting an attorney that is representing a person who filed a Federal lawsuit against them.Anyone who has not contacted him please do so because he is gathering the wolves to set them loose right now.

Thank you!! I had the week from hell, I sent my children away to stay with relatives including my 6 month old believing I was going to be taken off to jail, only to find out, this was a scare tactic, my family memebers were told I was going to jail, it has been horrible, I will be glad to give my name. not a problem.

I am so tired of this tactic being loosely utilized, as if the laws do not exist. I am hoping so much that very soon, someone within the government receives a call from these crooks, and gets the same threats. Wouldn't it be so funny if a Governor or Senator got threats from these people? I would laugh so hard at the outcome.

Guest, it also seems you might have very good evidence for suing them, seeing that they actually told all those third parties. You have witnesses.

Great work cajun. These companies, which are basically organized crime (though the mafia is smarter than them) should be taken down, if only one at a time.

they called my sister in law first looking for me, and told her that I needed to get in contact with her regarding a loan I took out with eloans and that if I did not contact her that day by 5.00 the police were coming to arrest me, and they used the county I lived ins name so she absolutely panicked, called her mom, who called the company, got Ms smith told her the same thing, called my husband, and he did not know what this woman was talking about I was in class, so she told him everything about the account, which is not in his name at all. nor did he sign for it, it was a payday loan all done online.

could you explain what you meant by witnesses?? she has told my husband several times I am going to jail and hung up on him, and screamed at him when we did not pay the money and asked for verification of the debt.

I am still new to understanding all this law stuff:) but even though I am in the wrong I want them to pay!!although I have paid the original company 540.00 and I only borrowed 300.00.

Thats right Cajun, when I talked to him over the phone I also told him that united pay service/united processing was almost as bad as Bass & Ass.. I told him to look around on here and see what they have been doing to other people. and he said he would. He thanked me. I told him that they were also in jacksonville.
