OMG.. these people are ruthless. I just had a call from Robert James who said that he was with White Collars. Saying that US National Bank, who ever that is, is "downloading" to the county where I live an arrest warranty for me for a loan in March of 2006. First of all... PDL are illegal in NC; Second... you cannot "download" a warrant! When I told him that I had already contacted the attorney generals office and that PDL's are illegal in the state of NC, he informed me that this wasn't take out in NC... I said yea I know, therefore it is invalid!!!! He called me "STUPID" and slammed the phone in my face. I'm not sure whether to laugh or get pissed off.

I honestly do not know who the PDL company allegedly was, it has been so long ago since I dealt with any of this. I contacted each PDL that I had and paid them the proper amount that they were owed according to the laws of NC. Do they really think that we are that stupid! Everyone knows that you can't "download" a warrant! He is the stupid one.

Well about a year ago I got a nasty call saying I was going to be downloaded too....I was crying so bad at work it made me sick. I was told to come up with X amount of money as well. I never paid them because my employer told me what they were doing was wrong. I wised up found this board and I'm so glad I did. You mentioned something about US National Bank- last month I got a call from an Alex Divine saying that had committed fraud/ asked if I had ever been on probation/ or arrested? When I asked what the amount was he told me that " they dont want your money"! I'm like then why are you calling me....he hung up on me. I filed complaints.

So that is the latest tactic! I was asked the same thing and told that if i was on probabtion I would need to contact my officer! Good grief! I think next time I will tell asked the person what city/state they are calling from and tell them that I am on probation for murder! Then of course follow up with calling them ugly names.

He told me that he was from the white collar crime division in my county. There is no white collar crime division in my county. He then told me since I interrupted him that I could just wait to be arrested, What a slime ball!

I am also in NC and when I did my stuff I made sure that they knew that they were doing business in NC. I filled out an application and then I was getting calls from several people, so that would be them calling me in NC, they made the loan to me IN NC, they took money from my account that was in NC, etc, so.... These people are dirt, actually lower than dirt!! They will try everything in the book and think they are above the law, in NC!

I called Mr James today and informed him that he could just wait to be arrested. I told him that it was illegal to call me and threaten me with arrest and to impersonate a person of authority. He listened and then promptly humg up. Creep!

Yes I told him that since he was using illegal debt collection practices that he was the one to need an attorney. I then told him, that he better wait to be arrested. I talked to him on speaker phone, just as he talked to me when he called. My friend the attorney is going to call him tommorow. She is one of the best attorneys that I know. She will shake him down good. She hates slime balls! I have filed my complaint and I hope that they shut this idiot down, so that he does not continue to upset good people who just happen to have financial issues.

oh my gosh. i cannot belive that I found this site. I today just got a call from Robert James, telling me the same story that he has told to all of you. it made me so emotional initally that i was stressing out. i am 4 months pregnant and this raised my stress level. i was so scared. i called my mom and my sister crying telling them i need this money. i had to ask my employer for an advance on my next paycheck etc. when i was not able to come up with the money my employer told me that this was not legit, so i searched his number and sure enough it came up with this website and when i read all the postings, i was sick to my stomach. i thought i owed this money and i stressed my parents out and sister out all to find out this is a scam. i did call my states attorney and they are sending me the paperwork to file the complaint. i have printed out this forums to send with the complaint. i am so thankful that this site was here, i think i would of had to owe some friends and my parents money if i had sent this money he had told me i owed. thanks again.

Yesterday at 12:30pm, I received a call to notify me that charges were being filed against me in 1.5 hours. James stated that he was a Detective with the US National Bank Financial Crimes Division and that I was going to be charged with Collateral Check Fraud, Theft by Deceipt and another charge that noone that I have talked to knows what it is. An internet search for US National Bank produced nothing. Threatening the criminal charges is against the law according to the Fair Debt Collections Act. I do not know where he found my personal info but my bank is on alert and a fraud alert has been placed with all Credit Reporting Agencies.
