about 2 years ago i got way behind on my chase credit card payments and they closed my account. since then i made payments and finally paid them off last february. i wasn't sure when they would remove it, so i called and asked. the lady i spoke with said that usually after it's completely paid, it'll take around 30-60 days to come off. as she said this she noticed how long it's been paid off and offered to remove it for me and inform the credit bureaus to remove it. she was really nice and said to check in about ten days to make sure it came off. can she even do this? i'm not gonna hold my breath, but that would be awesome if i didn't have to wait 7 years.

Believe it or not there are some good companies out there although they may not be the norm. I have heard the Chase is one of them. Do you have the persons name? If you don't and it dooes not come off as she said when you call back you may get Mr. or Ms. Attitude who won't know what you are talking about. If you have a personal relationship with the same prerson they usually will want to help you. This has been my expererience.

There are good ones out there in the Prime market. My absolute best is American Express.Give me boatloads of credit and great customer service. Next is Discover with their Utah customer service and huge reward points. My last one is Chase who have been good to me,just not as good as American Express. My wife's personal favorite is Citibank.

My husband had a chase account reporting on his report that had went to a profit and loss write off. The card belonged to his ex wife which he had divorced in 2002,but was on his report because he was an authorized user. I called chase for him and ask if they could do anything because he has good crdit but this really lowered his fico score they were most helpful and removed it very quickly and even sent him a letter stating that it had been removed.

It is good to know that there are some companies out there that treat people with respect. I have never had anything but subprime cards: First Premier Bank, Household, Applied Card Bank, and Capital One. Is it any wonder I am filing bk?? I am so dumb...I had never had any cards before and after my chapter 7 was discharged I was approved for these and maxed them out buying really stupid stuff.......

well, i guess it was too good to be true. i received a letter in the mail saying they weren't gonna change anything. what i don't get is why they bothered lying to me in the first place. grrr i hate credit card companies, i only got the stupid thing originally to build credit...then i needed money and it was there.
