Debt settlement for old debts now with the CA

First of all, find out if the debts are outdated, meaning, have they surpassed the statute of limitations. If they are past the SOL, then do not pay on them. You legally do not have to pay on expired debts. If in fact you are getting calls from collection companies, then you need not pay a dime until they have legally validated the debts in which they say you owe. Send each collection company a letter via certified mail, to prove that they got it, and the burden is legally on them to provide proof that you owe.
