Also, I don't work. I'm a student who has not finished her degree because of a complicated pregnancy that left my son disabled. I care for him 24/7. My husband only makes $13 and we are a family of 5. Do I still have to pay the debt or does bankruptcy take care of it?
It looks like you may qualify in the means test according to you
It looks like you may qualify in the means test according to your present financial situation. The lawyer's fees may range anywhere between $1200 to $1500. Be aware that your filing is going to be reported in your husband's credit also.
Consider one more alternative like debt settlement before you finally decide for bankruptcy. Hopefully, you will be able to meet the payment plan in settlement and won't need to file bk.

I would start by looking in your local yellow pages. It should list all attorneys in your area and their area of practice. Then go from there.

When I went and filed for bankruptcy I was lucky to find my lawyer who only charged $973 to file. That was including the fees for the credit classes. My best friend and her husband when they went and filed. The lawyer told them to charge his fee on their credit card and they waited a couple of months to actually file. So they technically didn't pay anything themselves. Morally I wouldn't say to do that but if you are in a bind then you have to do something.

Yes. Whether you file a chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy petition, you have to attend a ???? 341(a) Meeting of the Creditors in either chapter. It usually lasts for less than an hour in chapter 7, but if you are filing chapter 13, the process might take one complete day to finish.

Yes you and your spouse have to be there. You have to show them your social security card and I believe your driver's license. Your attorney will be sitting right next to you, so you won't have too much to worry about. They just ask you simple questions, such have you ever filed bankruptcy before and if so when and was it discharged. Things of that nature, and have you included absolutely everything. It's not as scary as it sounds.
