I would be very careful because if you get out of your bankruptcy plan, which I assume is a chapter 13, those creditors will be ready and eager to slap you with a lawsuit. I would talk this over with your attorney ahead of time, that way they can let you know what to expect. If you lose that bankruptcy protection anyone in the plan can come after you for the balance owed, I would think.
