I currently have 11 outstanding payday loans. I have not defaulted on payments yet but I was thinking about calling them trying to make payment arrangements with them because they are taking a big chunk of my check and I may not be able to cover my other bills. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can deal with them myself? I want to pay them off but if they are not willing to work with me i'm gone to try a debt consolidation program.

Hi Danni,

Welcome to the debt consolidation Care forum.

The consolidation program will be helpful to you as it will offer easier monthly payments at lower rate of interest.

You can combine all the 11 payday loans into one loan amount and pay them back through this program. This will eliminate the risk of missing any particular payment.

Additionally, you will be offered lower rate of interest in this program and thus make your repayment easier.

The consolidation program will reduce the total amount of your debt by 40% to 60% as it will eliminate most of the financial charges and late fees that have built on the total amount of your debt.

You can have more knowledge about the benefits of this program after reading this article:

http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/benefits.html

You can enter for a free counseling and know your various options of clearing the past debt within a shorter period of time.

Regards
Roxette

I am in the same situation as Danni, and I cannot find anyone that will help me work with the pd loan companies. I tried United Christian Financial, and ACCC, they will not help. I have been reading all over these posts that you can get help by signing up with debtconsolidationcare, but I have not seen it. Does anyone know who can help? Thank you.

I have been in touch with BHR & Associates about my payday loans. I was told since my payday loan payments are not delinquent there is nothing that can be done to help me. I would suggest to others to give them a call if you are delinquent with any bills. They are really great people and I told them I will be giving them a call soon as my accounts become delinquent.

Yes they do help with past due payday loans. They don't have leverage if they are not past due.

as it stands it is within the company. i havent received any letters from collection agencies, just from the company collection demanding payment. with this the charge continues to get higher. everytime i call them, its like a never ending cycle, i coninue to get threatened about having my check garnished. i thing its ridiculous u cant get help with these types of loans when you try to pay them but u fall behind.

I should've posted that they need to be in collections before BHR can help. I'm headed to the bank after work to see what I need to do. Then i'm going to call the payday loans companies to see if they will work with me as far as making payment arrangements. If not I will just have to wait til they send them to collections.

DANNI, when you will be trying to arrange a payment plan with your payday loan companies, make sure that you know the status of your accounts that they will be reporting to the credit bureaus. Accept "Paid in Full" or "Paid as Agreed" but do not accept "Settled". This is a derogatory remark and will hurt your credit file.

Hi Kenya,

Currently all of my loans are still within the companies. I just prayed before I called them and told them that I had 10 payday loans and that I was willing to pay them. I have set up payment arrangements to pay 50 dollars a month. Some didn't want to do it and kept trying to send it through my bank. After the account was closed due to non sufficient funds they are willing to accept the payment. Just call them and tell them your situation and that theres only one paycheck coming into your household and by me being a single parent without any child support they finally but reluctantly are working with me. One of them said that they wouldn't accept the 50 dollars and that they was sending it to their attorney but I could set up arrangements with them when I'm contacted. I have their western union information and I plan to send 50 dollars anyway. Try calling them and offering them 50 dollars a month if you can afford it. I hope this helps

Kenya,

Some of the companies will work with you if you ask them and tell them what you can afford to pay on an monthly basis. Sometimes we magnify the situations and make them seem large when they are not. We have to believe that things are going to get worked out. Call them and set up arrangements that you can afford.

Hi mwhitehurst

Welcome to the forums. You can have a look at the 'Do It Yourself' segment in this website and get some professional training on how to negotiate with your creditors.

http://community.debtcc.com/diy/index.html

A proper budgeting in your daily life will solve most of the existing problems and the amount saved can be used to pay off the creditors.

Talk to your lenders and explain the financial problems you are going through. There are a few lenders who are even compassionate towards the debtors. I suggest you to make the call and work out a payment arrangement with the hardship department that are available at most of the companies. They will ask for your monthly income and all other debts that you have at present. On this basis, some payment arrangements can be made for you if possible.

If your financial situation doesn't improve, you can opt to file bankruptcy. But remember, there are many negative impacts of filing bankruptcy. Consider this option only when you have lost all the chances of improving your credit. Read this page carefully before you are planning to file BK.
