Any one out there been in this situation?

Defaulted a loan with check n go and asked for a repayment plan. She said write 10 post dated checks for this so called repayment plan which ends up to be a an "installment plan:. that is how they get around the law by useing words. Now it is in way default and i have been stop payment on 4 of the checks with 6 to go. Not sure still what to do. I sent copies of everything to the State Banking Financial Institutions in Chicago and all they said, was yep, you owe them. no da. no help at all. I did send to check n go a "wage assisngment revoke notice, and donot electronicaly debit my checking account (which i only have .25 in there, cause i reopend another and may shut the old one down soon if not illegal). Also sent them a repayment plan and sent it all certified mail with a return reciept which they got about a week ago and no answer. so i am sure they are up to something.

Well, that is my story with one store front pay day loan, have 2 other store fronts in default also. I do have Town and Country Associates sending me somehting that may combine all three if the store fronts except. What a mess and glad i am in this boat with all of you.

Any more advise, help, etc will be most appreciated.

I defaulted on Checksmart once...but my mom gave me the money to pay it back(well actually she gave me grocery money and I used it to cover my bounced check with them because I knew they could sue me) Why did you put stop payments on the checks? They are a storefront lender so they do operate within the law...
