I am glad that your palps are not life threatening....I see a cadiologist yearly for my palpls(I have a mitral valve prolapse) they put me on valium for it but I cannot take it cuz of the baby and dont want to take it once he is born because I am afraid I will never hear him in my sleep

Can they give you anything else to help them that won't affect the baby or put you in a dead sleep that you might not hear him?

I am so glad that it is nothing serious. Give the lexapro a little more time. I am on it and I can't function without it. My dr. said it can take 3-4 weeks to make a difference.
I will try to be patient! Hard to do with everything going on.

Well pretty much the reason why we went with valium is because they tried a ton of other stuff that made it darn near impossible for me to function and the valium doesnt leave me feeling hung over like the rest of the stuff...way I see it, I havent had it in 9 months and i have been fine so maybe i dont need anything!

I am under forced marching orders to do my stress test if I can ever get home. My wife recently lost a cousin that is only two years older than me to a heart attack.Heart disease is genetic in her family and my family has a little of that too.

2nband,
I'm glad to hear it's nothing serious :-) It does take time for medicine to work. You sound like me though, a little impatient. Cajun, get the stress test done. I can't stress enough that we need to take care of our health :-)

That lexapro has done me a world of good. I took prozac before and it didn't help that much. Try to be patient, I know it is tough. I'm just glad your heart is ok! And cajun, make sure you get that stress test when you get back home.

Thanks everyone. It has been a great relief to know that this is nothing serious. I am trying not to be inpatient, but it is hard. These palputrations are just very annoying and I really hate it when they take my breath away. Makes one feel very tired and it is frustrating. Thanks for all your kind words of encouragement. It is so appreciated to have that.
Cajun, I expect to hear that you got your stress test as soon as you can!!!
