I needed to take out a few online payday advances to help catch my mortgage up. Becuae I took them out at the same time, they all strated coming out at the same time and I have fallen behind on the payments. Today, 5-22-07 I received a phone call from 800-731-7730 telling me that I had to pay x amount within 30 minutes or a sherrif woulf be at my place of employment to serve me with papers. I was freakin out and was being a distraction to my fellow colleagues. What can I do to stop this? I know I need to pay the loan, but I do not know which company it is from. I think it is CashNet USA, but I am not 100% sure. Can anyone give me advice on what to do?

That doesn't sound like a CashNetUSA tactic. It does sound however, like many others. Rest assured, they are lying to you, nobody is going to come and arrest you and you are not going to be charged with fraud. That is a scare tactic they like to use to scare people out of their money. And it is very illegal behavior on their part.

Sandy, if you really want to follow a good advice, please never take a payday loan. This is not going to do any good for you. Think that you are already having financial problems in paying the existing debts, how will you be paying on the pdls in the next pay period. Pdl places will charge interests and fees, you can never imagine. The legal caps are itself very high, most of them don't follow the laws. You will end up making the wrong move if you take a pdl.

Call the number and know the name of the company and request for your loan statement. You will be sure of the account.

Thank you Steelers1 and Johnson4485. I know I should have never taken out the PDLs but I was desperate. I was scared of loosing my home and now look where I am. I was told today that what they were doing was illegal but I don't know how to stop it. I can change my cellphone and house number, but I can not change my work number. Is there anyone that can help me pay back these loans. I live in Florida and I have 4 outstanding and my husband has 1 internet and 1 store front outstanding.

Sandi, you have come to the right place. There is a lot of knowlegdable(sp)here who can help point you in the right direction. And please remember this--they cannot arrest you--they will only try to threaten you. they're trying to scare you into giving them as much money as they can get from you at once. Take a deep breath--it will be ok.
