Hi - I have another thread on here (drowning in payday loans) but thought Id see if anyone has dealt with or knows who ROVINGE is. Ive never taken out a loan with a company by this name yet I have 2 debits from the 18th for $45.00 from this company, no phone number or any identification attached with it. Are they a loan company?
Thank you in advance

d2d - They already have started harrasing me at work this morning, 1 call at work and 3 calls on my cell..its only 8:54 a.m. here! I answered here at the office when they called & told him I wasn't in today, then he asked for my boss (shouldve never given him my bosses name)..I told him she had the day off as well. He said "OK " Then hung up.
Should I answer my cell phone later today and let them know I've closed that account and Ive already paid them & they are not allowed to debit any more
from me? Or should I resort to writing emails? Doesn't sound like I'll get too far talking to them.

The thing with writing emails or letters is you have everything in black and white as to what you have said. Even though they may not comply, request that they only communicate with you via email or USPS. I never answer my phone when numbers that I do not recognize show up. Personally, I would not worry about telling them you closed your account, they will know soon enough, in fact they may already know since they have started calling. I would also let your work aware that there may be some phone calls about this so maybe they can help field them or help try to put a stop to them. Hang in there!

Thank you ! I am in the process of writing an email right now and agree it's a good idea to only communicate via email or snail mail. It sounds like from everyone else's experiences, the only thing I'll get is a headache & maybe a good laugh is I try to 'talk' with them. I'll keep you posted~ Jen

Yes, it can be a pain, but eventually they will get the hint and back off, but might take some time. I did talk to one and ended up telling them things and not letting them get a word in edgewise. Told them that they were not getting any more money, they did not scare me, I was aware of all their tatics they would try to use to get me to pay more, I knew that they could not have me arrested and put in jail, etc and one time they hung up on me and the next time I hung up on them. Just make sure you file your complaints.

Yeah, it took me about 2 months of hanging up on them when they called before they finally stopped calling . . . . But of course, they rarly called my cell phone, they called my work number like 20 times a day, even though the reseptionist told them every time they called that I didn't work there anymore . . . . . Strange people they are!

Who just posted that? It's a copy of the post I originally started the thread with.

I continue to send GFS/GFSIL/CashTodayLtd/Rovinge (all the names Global Financial does business under) emails stating I've already paid them what I legally owe them and to please mark my account paid in full. I also do not answer their calls or I hang up on them. Their calls have almost completely stopped!

Tara - do a search for Rovinge in this forum and a few posts will pop up with info on Rovinge. They operate as GFS, GFSIL, CashTodayLtd, and a few other names. They are scum bags, i had quite the time chatting with them lastnite, 45 minutes of my night wasted on talking to some scumbag in the UK that can't even speak english.
