i am in trouble...i need 500 asap and i thought i could rely on a payday loan...but my acct is overdrawn...what can I do?

i would ask my boss for an advance but he's on vacation, and asking friends and family at this stage is not an option.this was supposed to be the year i get out of debt...how can i be so stupid?

Really, I know how you are feeling. But it is way better to ask your family or friends then to take out a payday loan. I went the pdl route instead of asking people for help, and it took me down a very bad path. I ended up way worse off then if I'd just asked for some help in the first place.

Dont do a payday loan, it may seem like a quick fix but you will regret it later!

I agree with frogpatch, see if you have a few non-sentimental items you could sell. Also, would it help to speak with the companies/people you owe the $ to? And maybe work something out until your boss comes back or until your next pay day?

Goudah is exactly right. Payday loans just lead to more trouble. What seems like a short term fix turns into years of hell. KYSIDE38

Please don't do the payday loan. And DO NOT take out an internet payday loan!!! It will cost you WAY more than you borrowed. I agree with all the other posters. Will you be able to pay the loan plus interest back IN FULL on your next payday and not be short again? If the answer is no then don't do it!! I would ask family or friends or even sell something before I would take out another loan. You do not want to pay between 300-700% interest on $500. I had one out that charged me 683% interest and I had that loan out for over 6 months because I couldn't pay it back. I ended up paying thousands on a $500 loan.

Another vote for not payday loans! I also used payday loans and ended up worse than I was to start with. STAY AWAY! FAR AWAY from them. There is an old saying, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is and in this case, it is! Payday loans sound like the prefect answer to your problems, but they aren't.
