Suit by Blatt HasenMiller Leibsker & Moore - Palisades -
Date: Wed, 05/23/2007 - 19:55
The original debt dates back to July 2002. We disputed the original amount with ATT and got a promise it would be fixed.
Eventually Palisades (ATT sold ORIGIANL amount to them)called and we informed them the original debt was not valid. Never heard anyhting until a few years later when a law firm threatened suit. We asked them to provide proof of debt and never heard from them again. Now another year or two later we are being sued for original amount plus fees. We attempted to contact the law firm to negotiate a settlement but they refuse to call us back
What can we do?

Palisades Collections needs to be confronted at every step with demands for debt validation. All of their tainted credit bureau reporting should be disputed; court suits MUST be vigorously defended. Challenge each and every document they file, assume they are bogus and manufactured. Palisades appears to be engaging in a lot of illegal collection activity and credit bureau reporting, they deserve to be sued at every opportunity by consumer law professionals.

My 11 yr old was getting home from school when he was approached by a mail individual by the front door with loose papers in hand, asking him to give the to "Thalia" (me). He said he was actually frightened and startled. Is this legal? Can a minor be served papers for an adult, and where is the proof I received anything without a signature? Blatt, Hasenmiller,Leibsker, and Moore are bringing the suit about. When they tried this last summer I asked for proof, and they went away for a yr and a half, and now this. They never did provide validation of debt.

What state do you live in? Most of the states I have researched have a minimum age of 16 in order for service to be considered "proper". Here is a good site to research:

You might have grounds to vacate the judegements and counter-claims if the judgement is vacated and they re-file? What state do you live in?

This firm reminds me of writers of the Simpsons and Homer as the puppet string. Is Blago the CEO? These ring leaders might as well be selling nickel and dime bags on the corner of a project. You fools are clowns at best. Wonder how much a bad hustle will get? I'm actually not bitter but just found out how a friend of mine almost bought into this silly scam. If you're going to threaten someone for an entire debt, don't threaten on a 90 day time frame, guess your GED or the streets taught you common sense. Your company sucks!
