Payday loan mess

Frogpatch you were right! I admit, I wasn't as optimistic as you were . . . . I have a pretty fatalistic approach to CS reps at WF actually being able to provide help . . . .

i worry about everything. i am always worried that something is going to go wrong. but i am taking all the necessary steps to prevent it. i am so glad i did it today. if i waited ayn longer, say if i did it tomorrow, then i would have been a mess, well a bigger one then i already am. so now i am going to work on writing my letters so that way i can try and stay as much ahead of the game as possible!

You may want to post a "rough draft" of your letters and get some feedback from the forum. That way you can have some confidence that you've included everything you need to!

good idea i will deff. do that. if it werent for this place and you guys i would be an absolute mess right now. i was about to have a nervous breakdown.

I'm glad that was avoided! Beleive me, most of us have been where you are . . . . Just be happy you found this site now, instead of 3 months from now after you'd overpaid these companies by thousands of dollars . . . .

i am very very glad. actually a few days after i got the laons i decided to just look up some of the companies online and i randomly found this website. i am so incredibly thankful i found this place. i can not imagine having to pay thousands of dollars. i do not understand how these companies can continue to do things like this. dont people sue them? they are obviously doing illegal things...so not fair to the people that went to them for help

Well, most of the people that take out payday loans don't have the money to hire a lawyer . . . These companies make millions of dollars and can hire the best legal defense.

well i guess when i win the lottery i will just have to sue these companies and with whatever money i win i will give to help people that are in debt with the loan companies...sounds good to me

now i am freakin out! i pay 1600 bucks A MONTH in INTEREST ONLY in vegas...ya...its that bad if i close my account and let them all bounce will i go to jail

State's that allow criminal prosecution for closed accounts really meant for that law to be used on people that go and take out loans then immediatly close the accounts in an attempt to defraud the company out of their money. If you've been paying on these loans for some time there is no worry about being prosecuted.

i closed my account. as of today it is closed and all my payday loans were due today. well they arent going to be able to debit my account. i have not paid one single dime to any of the companies but i am writing them all letters along with my payment plan. only one of them is a legal company. so yeah i did close my account and yeah all of them are going to bounce but i am sending the companies money orders to pay off what i owe in full. but that isnt going to happen for two weeks....so let the phone calls begin i guess...

Oh, the calls will begin! Just let them know they will get their money, but it won't be today . . . . Or just hang up on them! Maybe you'll be lucky since it's a long weekend and the calls won't start for a few days . . . .

yeah i am not too worried about them calling me. let them call me. makes no difference to me. i know i am going to pay thm what i legally owe them they will get their certified letters saying everything. its not like i am trying to just get loans from them then turn around and close out my account so i dont haver to pay for them. i closed my account so that they cant take out more then they are legally owed. i do wanna pay what i rightfuly owe "them"

I am brand new here and also dealing with very similar issues you are. We are just about on the same schedule. Seeing the difference in you from several days ago to now is a HUGE power of example. Keep up that courageous stance. Have a super weekend!

thanks john!!!! yeah they have yet to call me and all my laons were supopsed to come out on friday...they didnt try putting anything through, i closed my account offically on friday so we shall see. the way i see it is if i have a problem why make it a bigger problem, why not just work on that problem instead of dwelling on the fact that i actually do have a problem. i am only 21 years old and i have got myself into some stuff but i am tired of being worried about everything. i am owning up to ym mistakes and fixing them now. one big thing i learned was i will never ever in my life take out a payday loan again!!!!!!!!!! happy memorial day everyone
