I Need Help.........

What happened was that I ended up getting in with a group of people that called themselves my friends. We ended up running up credit card bills. I wasn't home with my parents where I should have been and it just wasn't a good place for me to have been all around period. I learned my lesson and if there was any way that I could go back and change or re-do it I would. I just don't want one mistake to mess up the next 10-30 years of my life and never be able to get anything ever again. What do I do? Is there anything that can ever be done?

Welcome to the Community Leigh :D I have been where you are, and it is a scary thing! Unless they get paid, they will follow you around until they do. Have you contacted them? I would contact the credit card companies, tell them the truth-that you got in over your head and would like to clear this up. I have had some work with me on dropping, and lowering interest so I could pay them off. There also is debt consolidation, where you put all your unsecured debt into one monthly payment, with lower interest. Since you have registered, someone will contact you and discuss options you may have regarding your debt. You are free to choose them, or not. Ask questions if you need to, we are here to help guide you through the process of becoming debt free!..Karen
