so i got my first phone call....yay, and the lady was like you setup to have the full amount come out on this date and it was returned for insf, cunds and i said yeah i know thats cause i closed my account and she started to say about what they were gonna do to me and i was like before you tell me how i am going to be arrested or blah blah blah just save ur breath cuse i will be sending in a payment next friday for what i legally owe since you know you guys are a illegal company and she was speechless and i was like dont worry about it u will get all my letters and dont call my work or me anymore you will get your money and thank you and have a nice day harrassing other people

Brittanie: If in fact, this is an illegal company, meaning not licensed to operate in your state or charging fees which are illegal, then I personally, would tell them to FUK off. Perhaps some on here will not agree with the ethics of that position, but how many times do we get screwed before we screw back? Thats my position and I'm sticking to it. :)

If Brittnie had gotten screwed by this company I'd be inclined to agree . . . . . But since this loan was recently taken out and nothing has been paid on it yet, the morally right thing to do is repay what you legally owe.

If we are going to go around ripping off these companies just because we can then we wouldn't be any better then they are . . . . .

I think ANYONE who would call a single mother and tell her they are going to arrested and to " say goodbye to your kids cuz your going to jail" should not only be told FUF off, they should be told when where and exactly how painful i want it to be. I have not slept in 2day because of this crap, and now i know that i dont have to be abused, they will be lucky if they get what is owed after i deduct the amount 22.50 X's 8hrs, for the lost work, and for whatever 2 days without sleep would be worth. Sorry, ok im better

both raise valid points. I tend to agree with both..if a pdl operating legally or not, at least plays by a standard of decency then why not negotiate a win -win arrangement to resolve the debt in a busness like fashion. However, as Anthony says when they cross the line and make illegal threats then all bets can be off.. I think and perhaps this is a fractured morality that both ways can be ethical.. it just depends on the situation.

But - She wasn't threatened with arrest - She told the lady that called to not even try because she knew it couldn't happen.

So they didn't threaten her with anything, she beat them to it.

I do agree with you that when they cross the line and tell someone that they need to say goodbye to their kids because they are about to be arrestted doesn't deserve to get paid. It all just depends on the individual situation . . . . .
