I have a Capital One account that was settled with RMA back in 2003, but I am still getting letters from other agencies about collecting money for Capital One. I have the letter from RMA saying that it was settled. What can I do?

Since you have the letter stated settled from RMA, you need to contact Capitol One and make sure that the account has been marked. If Capitol One doesn't want to help you make each collection agency validate the account in question. Also, you can check your credit report and see how they reported the account.
