Unfortunately, I was approved for a loan with Cashcall. I am barely hanging on as far as the payments,I needed money quickly. I only wanted to borrow $1500 and they deposited $2600 into my account and said that was the base amount. my account is debited 216.00 a month. I began payments in Jan 2007, call the other day for payoff and they said $2699.00. I have been trying to consolidate is with 2 other loans and no one will approve it. What can I do, it is automatically coming out of my account?

Hi there -

The problem with Cash Call is they are backed by a bank - so they are completely legal. Their interest rates are akin to highway robbery, but they are legal.

It would have been good if you could have immediately paid back the amount you didn't need - that would have helped you out some, but that's what Cash Call counts on - that you'll keep all the money, even if you don't need it, and then you're stuck with the payments. And at their interest rates, those payments can go on for a long time.

You might want to check into debt consolidation - did you sign up for the free counseling session when you registered here? If so, a consultant will be calling you soon to discuss your options for consolidation or settlement.

Keep working to improve your credit as much as possible - pull a copy of your credit reports from annualcreditreport.com. You're entitled to a free report from all three bureaus once per year, or when you've been denied credit. See what your true credit picture is, and if you can, work to improve it so that you might qualify for a consolidation loan down the road, if that's what you want to do.

I do plan on repaying the loan, I just can't afford the electronic debit from my account right now and i have other bills that that are falling behind to pay it. I can see if i can stop the debit from my account so that I won't have to close it. I am a single mom and the only income coming in, I just want to see if there was anything that i could do before i got behind on everything else. Also, I would like to thank everyone for their input to help me out.

I saw a commercial yesterday for Cashcall with Gary Coleman in it. He said when he needed cash, he called Cash Call. I'm glad I didn't know about them when I was in my pdl mess. I saw the interest charges on the fine print and all I could say was WOW!! It would be nice if you could refinance at a lower interest rate.

I am only able to make the minium payments. I spoke with the bank today and i will have to pay to put a stop payment on the electronic withdrawl. Which is no problem, but that does not mean that they would try to withdraw a different amount that would go through, after the first one is stopped.I read over the agreement and it stated that if I want to cancel the electronic withdrawl i can in writing within 3 days of due date. I have typed up the letter, but i'm afraid that if i send it too early they would run it anyway. Also, I have direct deposit and i cannot close my account until my paycheck goes in. So, I am going to try to do that and call them after everything is done and talk to them.

My husband and I ended up having to get a loan from cash call a year ago. We've been paying the monthly $216 payments on time and if they have called us we don't know cause we screen our calls. At such an exsorbinant interest rate it's going to take us forever to pay it off. And becasue they are backed by a bank there is nothing that can be done short of a class action law suit.

I contacted cash call today and found out if i want to pay it off i would have to pay 2500 from a 2600 loan i took. Ive heard the financial institution cash call uses , they will not disclose the name, if they are backed by a bank wounder why they wont say who.

Please do what I have been doing with Cash Call, file complaint after complaint with whatever agency you can think of. I have even looked at my loan papers on line and found the bank name on the loan papers and filed a complaint with them also. I file after every call that they make with the Attorney General in CA and in my home state. Also the banking commissioner in both states. I agree that I was stupid enough to take this loan but they have to be held accountable for their actions. This is out of hand, with the way they treat people. My goal of the day today is to contact the owner of the company and start on him through his secretary.

I also was dumb enough to get a loan with Cash Call. I recently having been going through major financial difficulties. I just received a message from one of the collectors and she stated in the message they sent out a 48 hour demand. Does anyone know what I can do now. I honestly don't even have the minimum payment this month.

They're robbing innocent and poor people who are helpless when you get a loan from them. They charge by the day in interest and you would think it was annually. I pay $241.00 per month for my loan and I was told that only $1.00 goes to my principal. That's $8.00 per day...Don't you call that robbery? We can't do anything because they are legal loan sharks out there to victimize poor innocent people.I do hope the law changes and put a stop to this cashcall thing victimizing people.

Their testimonials I believe are just made up because you cannot make a testimony in their website. For sure, they will get 101% negative feedbacks for their actions...

I cannot imagine how the people working with them could stomach the way their company works to fool people. They do not have any conscience. Their souls are already burning here on earth while alive.God have mercy on them...

You dont need to close your bank account, what you need to do is send Cashcall a letter requesting for them to stop their automatic bank withdrawls (ACH) as they call them. Best if you fax it to them they have to update your file immidately, go to their website cashcall.com and get the fax number there, i would also suggest to send them the letter by mail they may say they never recieved your fax. when mailing get it certified and with returned reciept. Oh, and if you do this they will call you on the 2nd day of the month or the 1st weekday of the month, so you might as well send them a Cease & Desist letter which in it you want to request for them not to call you do to the overwhelming amount of calls that they will place to your phone. Request no calls - only contact by mail. Hope this helps anyone out there with the cashcall problem.

I took out a loan with cash call, and they sent a collector to my house to serve papers insisting I pay the whole loan amount. Debt by debt settled with cash call. They loaned me $10,000. (i only needed 1,000.00. After paying them for 2 years of $293.00, the pay off amount was $9,800.00. I contacted Debt by Debt and they are going to settle for the payoff amount of $3,877.00. Cash Call calls my friend at her job. She asked if she could talk their their supervisor, and the rep. hung up on her. STAY AWAY from these guys!
