Unauthorized Debits

My wife has 4 Payday Loans. She has tried to revoke payment, etc. She is not authorized to make transactions into our out of my checking account which is where the debits are coming from. She came to me afraid to tell me but I want to help her. The only thing is, I do not want to close my account as I've had it with the same bank for over 15 years.
I am going to write each of the companies myself and let them know that she is not authorized and never was, therefore they are estopped from debiting anymore funds. We want them to go into collections so we can deal with them without any more debits. Any suggestions? I have checked with my DFI in Wisconsin and there are no cases with any of these lenders brought against any borrowers. She has paid them the principal plus a whole lot more and has also filed complaints. Should I proceed with contacting them myself?

From what I have seen, these companies will disregard anything that you tell them...they will more than likely continue to debit your account regardless of what you tell them and I have never seen one successful story where someone DID not have to change banking accounts.

I am sorry BDL but unless your bank will put your account on a deposit only status, or you close it, they will not stop taking money regardless of what you tell them. Who are the companies, how much have you paid them including rollovers and How much did you borrow? We know the behavior of most of them and can give you apretty good idea what to expect. I looked on www.paydayloaninfo.org and it looks like Wisconsin has no limits on lenders unfortunately.
