I have 11 payday lonas. I planned on getting a large loans with CashNet to cover all the extensions due today but they denied me. I went to the bank to close my account and take my paycheck out so I can pay my other bills and they wouldn't close my account. They said I had pending charges and could not close it. I told them I had some unauthorized debits and needed them to be stopped. They told me even if I closed my account once they presented the debit for payment it would automatically open my account and charge me a fee. I lost. I have called all of them and told them the payments won't go through and all of them told me to just call them after the bank returns the payment. They were nice but I feel like the other shoe has not dropped yet. I got myself into a big messing trying to pay bills and getting more advances to cover old advances. It's a cycle and I regret it. I've paid some of them tons, others no money as of yet. I know in Florida this is suppose to be illegal I think but I don't know who is and who is not. I need your help with that. Here my Loans.

500 Fast Cash loan due 390. borrowed 350. Paid $575.00
Quckest Cash Advance due 260 borrowed 300 paid $625.00
First Bank of Del borrowed $1500. Paid 661.44 6 installents left
Arrowhead due/borrowed 390/300 paid $450.00
PayCheck Today due/borrowed 360/300 paid $360.00
United Cash Loans due/borrowed 390/300 paid $360.00
VCF Funding borrowed/due 300/390 paid 0
GFSIL borrowed 200 due 280 paid o
Sonic borrowed 200 $40 due paid 0
One Step Cash borrowed 300 $90 due paid 0
PayDay Max/Credit Protection Loan 320 borrowed paid $207

Please help!!!

Well I have dealt with VC funding and GFSIL...Vc Funding has disappeared off the face of the earth...all the contact info they gave me is no longer valid. GFSIL...oh the nightmare. They will call you and harrass you til you think you cant take anymore. They will call you at work 30 times back to back...best way to deal with them is to file a complaint with the FTC, your attorney general and homeland security. They have been ordered to stop lending in the states! You also need to send all of these companies a letter revoking any voluntary wage assignment you may have signed and send a copy to your payroll dept to cover you behind....Otherwise they will try to take your paychecks!

Angela - One thing with GFSIL - They began calling me a few times at work. Its just me and a co-worker answering the phones so I told her the situation and we just told them I wasn't in or I didn't work here any longer. They emailed notices of my payments that were rejected due to my account being frozen. I continually sent this e-mail to them: Quote:

TO CHRIS WILSON OR WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

I am informing you that I WILL NOT be paying GFS/GFSIL/ROVINGE any more money. Please mark my account PAID IN FULL, I do not owe anymore money in accordance with state and federal laws, I have ALREADY PAID MY LOAN OFF. I have filed a complaint with Homeland security, the FTC and my Attorney General of Florida, and they have all been informed that GFS/GFSIL/ROVINGE is NOT liscensed to lend in the United States, period!

Also, this is a notice under provisions of federal law, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (fdcpa), to cease all communication with me in regard to the debt referenced above.

I understand GFS/GFSIL/ROVINGE will probably continue to harass me despite my notification to cease all communications with me, but I know the laws for pay day loans and have become aware of how you operate, and will continue to file complaints with Florida's Attorney General informing them of your harrasment.

Again, the checking account you have on file has been FROZEN/CLOSED, therefore, you will no longer be able to take out money.

Thanks

Sincerely,

I also called them a few days ago and spoke to 3 different people and told them that I had already paid what I legally owe them and that I will be ignoring their calls and I informed them I would be filing complaints with Florida's attorney general if they didn't stop calling me. Now they only call me once a day..sometimes they dont even call. I think they've realized I'm on to them and they are giving up..if you've already paid them what you legally owe them, don't let them harass you..talk to them and let them know you know Florida's laws regarding pdl's and continue to send them that e-mail, they've cut down on their calls a BUNCH once I started harassing them !

It is illegal in the State of Florida for any collector to call you at work, you are to tell them just 1 time not to call you at work of employment if they do, then let them know you will turn them into the State Attorney's office for violation. I didn't know this unitl I talked to the State Attorney's office and they told me this..I did what they said and have never received anymore calls at work.

OMG. This is sooo helpful. I will start writing my letters. Well I don't know if this is good or bad. I expected to wake up this am with a negative balance and that didn't happen. My bank says they still have the hold. I'm not sure that once they close the account whether they will take the ach hold off or not. My mom is on the account with me and brought gas 3 days before so she told me I have to cover that. She told me to call on Monday. I emailed/called all of them except GFSIL. I'm saving them for last because I see how nasty they are. I will send letters via email and certified mail. I have not heard from united or 500 i emailed them I will call them in a few. Thanks everyone so much. I just say let the games begin and I don't want to have all those fees from my acccount so I can actually pay off the ones I owe and come to an agreement hopefully with the others.

did you send them a letter unauthorizing them to debit your account? if not do so and have your bank put a stop payment against each of them..mine cost $36.00 each..it depends on who you bank with, my bank was helpful, I ended up not having to change bank accounts, because even if it is closed if the PDL's try to debit it can re-open your account up to 10 days. so my bank worked with me and put the money back in. I also showed them the letters I sent out to the PDL'S and the responses I got back from them...I can help you out with letters if you need...I still have mine...

Be careful if someone uses the screen name "Vikas" or "Mike" in the chat room. I was told by someone this morning that one guy came anonymously with the name "Vikas" and talked to that person in a private chat room. Be alert guys and please don't give your personal information even if someone represents to be a part of the DebtCC team.

Regards
Mike

As far as I know about that person posing as "Vikas", he just sent a "hi" to the other person in a private chat room. Those of us who usually stay in the chat room know each other well and we can make out from their way of talking. New visitors also come to the chat room looking for help. They need to be more alert on this. Because a person trying to steal other????????s personal info will come to the website either in the wee hours or at late nights.

Everyone should understand that personal information is not to be posted in open boards and other interactive communication areas. It should go in the secured database only.
You should tell others that Debtcc will never ask for your personal information, including private chat, pm, or email.
Thanks Steelers for your nice thoughts. I will request everyone to spread the word whenever you get a chance.

Regards
Mike

You are right, Irish. The number of informed consumers is just a few in the whole lot. Everyday we see so many people here talking about their problems with different companies. It seems like more and more pdl places are filling their pockets from the hard working people.

It????????s a good feeling when one person learns from others experiences and stands confident in putting his personal life back in shape. All of you are truly helpful in putting someone back in control. :)

Mike

You know how they come on the news and say, "So and so would never ask for any personal information"? I think the point should be made that Debtcc would never ask a member for their personal information, especially in chat or pm, other than if you are cashing in your points in the form of a check, then they would need your real name and address, that is it.
