I have a problem in La. someone please tell me what to do

I am currently about 1600.00 in debt. I know that's relatively small compared to others, but this is giving me nightmares. I recently got laid off from my job but I am about to start a new one next week but everything is due now. I have a PDL wit Ace cash express for 345.00 and Mr. Money for 300.00 and a rent to own laptop that I still owe about 700.00 and a overdrafted account. I spoke with a debt consolidation company but it sounded real shady. He told me that I could consolidate my debt into one payment of 330.00 a month over 5 months but the money I owe would be drafted out my bank account and paid to the companies I owe. I don't have 1500.00 in my bank account for them to take out. It's sounds like Im being scammed to 1500.00 twice. Once to the consolidator and my bank. I thought I would be loaned the money and pay the consolidator back. I am so worried right now will I go to jail that haven't started calling me yet someone please give me some useful advice I need help fast.

The first thing I would do is try to get my checking account out of the negative. Are the loans storefront loans or internet loans, and what state are you in? If you register with this site as a member, it's free, and you can take advantage of the free credit counseling. They may be able to give you options to your debt problems. Also, there is a do it yourself section, under "Our Services", you might look at.
