I have a PDL that has already been sent to PD Recovery for collections. I am pretty sure they are not licensed in FLorida. They are saying I still owe them $300.00, but I know for a fact I have overpaid them since Florida does not allow rollovers. Is it too late to try to get them to mark my account paid in full?? If anything, I probably owe them $30.00, but I am pretty sure I have over paid them.

Send the CA a validation letter from cajunbulldogs page. It requires them to tell you all the payments you made and states the court case where this determined. Once they give you that info, which they probably won't, then you will have them. At that point explain the laws of Florida. A CA can't sue you as you did not borrow the money from them. They can't garnish your salary as you live in Florida and can claim head of houshold status. All they can do id report to the credit bureau information that is false and harrass you until you give in. When you send the validation also add a cease and desist paragraph to keep them from calling you. They will then sell you to someone else and the whole process will start all over again. I have sent VLs to two CAs and it has benn almost a month and no validation yet. Just so you know it is virtually impossible for a CA to collect in Florida if you don't allow it. A credit card company is a different story. They can and will sue you.
