what is the longest time a collection agency can collect a debt, referring to medical bills

Welcome to the Community :D They can keep trying to collect until it is paid or until the SOL runs out,then some still try. I had one trying to collect on a medical bill 13 years after I paid it off!! If You have any questions, please ask..Karen
