Any one ever heard of starter loans direct? I keep getting email offers for a loan up to $10000. is this another ipdl scam?

IPDLIDIOT (hey, you should change your username - you're definitely not an idiot! :-) )

I would strongly suggest avoiding any offer for a loan that comes via e-mail. I have yet to see one that comes via e-mail that is not for a payday loan, or something like it. And definitely avoid places offering large loans like that - it's either a pre-pay loan scam (where you pay a "processing fee" up front of $75 - $300 and then the company disappears, taking your money with them), or it's possible they are a valid company, like CashCall, which is backed by a bank, and can get away with charging HUGE interest rates which will keep you in debt literally for the rest of your life.

Set up your spam blocker on your e-mail and start sending those offers directly to the trash so you won't even be tempted to open them!

You are absolutely right. I checked out the website and there is a fee about $95, whch is paid at the time of disbursment. It also says that not all people will qualify. It is also a secured loan - don't know what they would use to secure it. I immediately deleted it after reading. Thanks for your input!
Unfortunately, when trying to respond to your msgs, i get a notification that my user name as already been taken. Do i need to login first?

They only email offers I would even read are the ones that come from newsletters or sites that you yourself signed up for, and only those that sent you a verification email after signup (double opt-in)

i don't know who has the authority to check some of the loan companies that are on the 'net but someone need to get these scammers. i am very disappointed that i waste all my efforts, hopes and beliefs into a link that says it can help me get out of the debt trouble i'm in. i am thankful for the workers at the united states treasury department. they said if you have to or even want to borrow money from an institution or person why should you have to pay them in order to make it happen?! the answer is right there and i believe her. i will continue to work until i can get everything taken care of myself!!! i say that to you all out there be warned of these scammers!!!

I constantly get emails for pdls saying my loan was approved, I have a check waiting, etc. I have not applied for a loan in ages and have gotten out from under my pdls, so sure wouldn't want another one. I just cannot seem to keep them from coming, but at least they go to my spam mail box. I just skim through to make sure there isn't anything that shouldn't be there and just hit empty and get rid of them all.

I never applied for this but did apply for a cash advance. I deposited some money in my account yesterday to make a payment on my student loans only to find out the money was not there for the payment to go through. When I accessed my account, I saw an electronic check for $99.00 from Starter Credit that I did not apply for, so I am waiting for my bank to open this morning to dispute this. STAY AWAY FROM THESE ONLINE CASH ADVANCE COMPANIES ALTOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
