I currently have 3 payday loans out (all internet...stupid me): USAFastCash, Dollarflash, and ameriloan.

However, I keep getting calls from a company called B.I.G. "regarding my online application." I have told them numerous times that I don't want the loan, no longer need the funds, etc. One person I talked with (Ade) said that he would cancel my application, and yet five minutes later they were calling again. I've been lurking around the site and have heard nothing good about them. I'm really worried that they will start harassing my work...they have already called me 6 times this morning in a span of an hour!!!

I keep telling them that I don't want it...am I doing enough? Would they put the funds into my account anyway? Will they eventually stop calling?

I have another question regarding something called EDPcard. They have debited $159.95 out of my account. I have tried reaching them through EDPreporting.com but have not heard anything back from them, and apparently there's a fee to talk to a rep personally. What should I do about this?

The calls from BIG sound like telemarketing calls to me and I would suggest the next time they call telling them to put you on their Do Not Call list. If they call after that, then you have grounds for a claim. I would also try and get an address/fax number where you could put this in writing and get it to them.
Now on EDP. Did you have a PDL with them? How did you make contact with them? If you have never heard of them and they are taking money out of your account, I would file a claim with your bank on that one.

Call your bank and dispute those charges. If you don't know who the company is then your bank can reverse those fees. If it's someone you really owe- they will call you.

As far as the telemarketing- visit this site. killthecalls.com/suing-telemarketers.html

I learned a lot of really good information from that site. There are two things specificall you must ask them to scare them off. 1) Ask for them to mail a copy of their DO NOT CALL POLICY 2) Request that your name be added to their DO NOT CALL LIST.

I kept getting calls from another soliciting company- the first few times I would ask not to be called- and they continued. The first time I asked for a hard copy of this policy- I never heard from them again.

Good luck!

LOL. If they dont quit calling- just sue them for still continuing to call ($500 each call) and for not sending a copy of their Do Not Call Policy (I don't know how much this one is- but hey- money is money) and then pay off of your PDL's with it. Haha. Steal from the rich to give to the poor theory there. I don't know if they will be regulated by the sames laws we have here because I think this company is operating in the UK somewhere. It might prove you mean some business though.

I had a debit off my bank statement from EDPcard for 159.95 this morning. As soon as my bank opened, I went in with a printout of the e-check and disputed the transaction. Within minutes, my bank, BB&T, had refunded the $159.95 and was starting an investigation file into the transaction. I had looked into getting a pay-day loan from a couple different websites, but never accepted any offers, never received any money, never finalized any transactions, other than just requesting information. Somebody needs to do something about these crooks!
