Credit Report Closed accounts

Hi, looking for a little help here. Can someone tell me what it means when on your credit report it says an account is closed? Here is a specific example of what I'm talking about
Account Name: allied interstate
Acct Status: Closed
Payment date opened: 9/11/2005
Balance: $135
Terms: 1 Month
Past Due: $135
Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know very much but It means that your account is closed and can't be used but you still have a past due that still need to be paid
