I live in Phoenix Arizona and this Payday loan company called my job today to inform me since they got a judgement against me they going to send a letter to my job to garnish my wages can they do this

Was it a storefront lender? In order to get a judgement they have to take you to court, did you recieve anything? Because if they did get a judgement then yes they can. But if it is a vol. wage assignment then you need to revoke that, and send it to them by cert. mail with return reciept requested and keep a copy for your records and give a copy to your employer.

I know someone will be along who knows this for sure. So keep checking back for more info.

Yes I did receive something but I could not attend due to recovering from surgery and the court it went to I know the Judge since I also work for a court. Is it to late to do something about it I really don't want to involve them and I do not know much about civil.
