i live in the state of louisiana. i have made arrangements to repay all of my ipdl's except for arrowhead investments. i received a phone call from someone who works for bass and associates, threatening to arrest me and put me in jail for writing worthless checks. it was an internet loan. i called arrowhead to see if i could make arrangements, they said they sent my acct to icollect. there is no one who answers the phone at icollect. so why is bass and associates hounding me. my balance according to arrowhead is four hundred eighty dollars on a three hundred dollar loan??? bass and associates is saying i owe seven hundred twenty two dollars and i must pay it in full or prepare to be arrested or get legal counsel. i have read on this site that bass and associates are under investigation in florida. is arrowhead legal in louisiana? can someone please tell me what i can do? i have blocked all ach debits from this company with my bank.

please help me, someone.

So, you are saying that Arrowhead is not legal anywhere then what should I do? I have blocked all ACH's from them. Do I owe them anything?

First of all dont freak out you are not going to be arrested. Bass and Ass will get there before you do. Go to http://www.paydayloaninfo.org and look up your state laws on payday lending. Figure hout how much you have paid them. Send complaints in to your Attorney Generals office. Be prepared for calls but you are not going to jail. KYSIDE38

They are all right. And especially, do not send them a dime, Bass and Associates can NOT have you arrested. Please do not be afraid and do not fall for that lie. You need to file a complaint with Floridan's attorney general agains this company. They are already under investigation for their illegal collection activities. Next time they call say, "Dude! I think we have the same parole officer!"
