I'm not horibly in debt, only have about 3000 dollars, but the payments are so big from overdue accounts that i cannot pay these payments along with household bills, groceries, gas, and kids schooling. I have bad credit and have not been able to get a loan through any banks. I've tried using co-signers but havent succeded there either. My wife and I are having hard times and moey is one big factor in a relationship because of all the stress it has caused us. I'm desperately looking for help but don't know wny other options?

help please....

James,

Welcome to the forums :-) BKP is right, a counselor will be contacting you soon to discuss your financial options. I just wanted to add that taking out a loan really isn't the answer to debt problems. It will only cause more debt for you in the long run. You have a small amount of debt so I'm sure something positive will happen for you. Are you able to take on a 2nd part-time job to help with finances?

Well, my wife worked part time but made very little money because she was working against my schedule which is 24 on/24 off. She quit that job so she could prepare for my going on deployment in september. She plans to get another job when i get back, but still it should be a very little addition to the income unless she gets paid 8-9 dollars and hour.

Well, if you get into a debt consolidation program, it might be the best bet for you. I know things seem bleak now but they will get better. Trust me on this! When I first came here, I was bogged down with credit card debt and payday loan debt. I have been pdl free for over a year and I just paid off two credit cards over the last week. You and your wife will get there. Feel free to ask any questions!
