So, I got a notice in the mail on Saturday from this company, by the way Receivable was mispelled, and said that I have a delinquent account with Rio Resources for $320! I had two loans, I am in WI, with them, Quickest-Cash-Advance, which I paid $500 on a $300 loan, and 500 Fast Cash, which I paid $635 on a $300 loan. Now, I filed compliants with my state DFI, is there anything else I should do? I don't owe them any more money!

You will want to send the CA and debt validation letter within the next thirty days. Please send it certified mail with return receipt requested. This way you will have proof they have received the letter. You can find a sample letter in the Do it yourself secion of the forum. It's under Our Services. Also, file a complaint with your state's attorney general's office against these companies.

Did the DFI contact you about these? Because they sent a letter to ARM about the amount I still owed and how much they inflated the balance. And ARM came back with a wonderful letter to the DFI stating that I made arrangements to pay the bill on dates in Dec. & Jan. and that the payments came back account closed, so they also tried to tell the DFI that they tried to contact me several times and even e-mailed me a settlement offer but I did not answer that. They also told the DFI that I allowed them to try and debit my checking for the full balance the begining of Jan. Now how could or would I agree to arrangements in dec. and Jan. when the bank closed my checking account in Nov. Plus I never got a settlement offer from them. I only got one from Paychecktoday because I threatened them in an e-mail and they accepted and made ARM back off.

I would wait a little bit for the (WI)DFI to contact you, then I would call them and talk to them about ARM. They know them very well. It took them a little bit to get things together before they sent me the stuff. Plus I think they are getting a little busy because if the IPDL companies.

debtfree, Just sit tight and wait for a bit. If it has been like 2 or 3 weeks, then give them a call to see where they are on your case. I guess they were just a little slow when I started all my complaints because I got an e-mail from them in 2 days. If ARM calls you tell them that you do not want to speak to them until you hear from the DFI. They should back off then.

I am also dealing with that crazy agency. I spoke with a Ashley Randolph who told me that it was illegal for them to send me a debt validation letter. She gave me an email address for her supervisor. I did email the man but have not heard anything back via email but they have left a message on my cell phone. Perhaps this might help.....

Got a call today from this disreputable company about a "relative". I inquired about the company and they insinuated they represented the State of Florida and that I need to address this issue immediately. I hung up.
