40k in Credit Card Debt

I'm 40k in credit card debt and no equity in homes for a Home Equity Loan. So many debt consolidation companies on the market, which makes it difficult to choose. Any help? Thanks.

Well hopefully you have come to the right place, since you signed up, you should be getting a call from on of the counselors here and they can review your debts, etc. Also, all the members here have alot of great information so you can search the forums as well for information.

Good luck. I built up about 20k in personal loans about 10 years ago myself and I didn't own property. A combination of an unsecured personal loan and creative credit card balance transfer allowed me to pay it off in about 5 years, but I wouldn't recommend that route.

There's a lot of solutions besides consolidation. There's settlement for about half the debt, and I've read about a dispute process to legally wipe out your credit card debt at nomoreccdebt.info that looks like the route I'm gonna go. I'll let you know how it works out.
