Medical bills nightmare!

Yesterday i recieved yet "another" bill from yet "another" collection agency for lab services! Shessshhhhhhhh. My insurance hasn't even paid on this claim yet and now they have turned it over to collections! I'm SO sick of it! (gosh better not get sick then that'll be another bill!) lol I HAVE to laugh or i'll cry! For cripes sake it's only for $97 so why would they turn us over SO soon? SIGHS.
I guess it's time for me to come to the realization that this will be a life long fight! Should i call them or just leave well enough alone? After insurance pays if i owe anything at all it'll be 20% of 97, which is about 20 bux! *shaking my head*

P.S. Also it's NOT like we've just begun this nightmare so why is it all of a sudden they have NO patience and immediately turn it over to a CA?!?

Ang,if you have insurance and they are an approved provider it is past time to report them to insurance company for breaching their contract. Most insurance companies have a contract all providers must sign stating how much their charges are and the length of time required to submit bills for payment. It is used to protect the patients rights.I know mine has a 90 day limit before they can even claim to be late.

That's what it used to be cajun but i'm not sure wth is going on lately! I know my hubby had LOTS of procedures and test done in March and April but this is getting ridiculous that every time i check the mail i have something from a collection agency. Now, i KNOW that his doctors, hospital and such ARE definately providers but with all these out of house people i'm not sure! Is there anyway to check this? It's from a lab company. And we were just waiting to see what our insurance paid then we'd pay the rest but before that even happened i got a bill maybe 2 weeks ago then yesterday something from a CA!
I figured most medical now have CA's working with them but can't even blink ur eyes and ur turned over!

It sounds to me like the hospital sent the tests out to a private lab for some reason--so I would clarify if it was the lab who sent you to collections or the hospital first. Sounds like another screw-up in accounting to me, Ang....
