Here's a little story about what worrying too much can do to you...

Ok, as most people know, my little boy will be flying to california with my mom this weekend, and I am worried sick over it. Well, Saturday night I was talking about it with my husband and got myself all worked up. About 20 minutes after the conversation, my arm started to hurt..BAD! Then my neck and my lower back..Then the chest pains started. It was terrible, I was doubled over, my chest felt I was being crushed. So we went to the emergency room, where they asked a lot of questons and did a bunch of test..An EKG showed my heart totally normal. My blood pressure and cholesteral was terrific. My weight is terrific. I'm an athlete, so I'm in better-then-normal shape. But still, I was having heart attack symptoms.

They couldn't figure it out..Then they found that my enzymes were out of whack. It was a big deal, and they were very concerned. I had to spend the night there on a heart monitor. When they told me this, I had a panic attack. It was incredible..I have never experienced anything quite like this. I couldn't breathe, and I flung meds across the room.

Anyway, the next day the cardiologist determined that my enzymes were messed up due to anxiety..They had come back to normal on Sunday. So..I got a prescription for anxiety meds and was sent home.

So...I have to relax about Andrew going away, I can not go through that again.

Oh Fins - I know how scared you were! Those anxiety attacks are worse than any heart attack, because the stronger the pain the more anxious you become and the pain gets stronger! It is a vicious circle! The first time I had one of those attacks I mimiced a bleeding ulcer! I didn't stop throughing up for 2 days and was in the hospital for IV rehydration! It was horrid! I hope that the meds will calm you down and make you feel better about Andrew going on his little trip with your mom.

Hi Fins, please don't take stress. There is nothing to worry about your son. Your boy is matured and he will be perfectly alright. He won't like to see his mom going through stress just because of him. You don't want to see him worried, right??

Remember, stress, anxiety will increase blood pressure. Please take care of your health and think positive. Otherwise, you will find yourself too much worried just for nothing.

Regards
Mike
