i have the worst sun burn ever, my face looks horrible i feel so ugly it burnsssss i have blisters all over any advice?

I have the same thing on the tops of my breasts(gosh I hope that is ok to say) from being out in the sun and I have been putting aquaphor on it...its helped tremendously...or get some aloe vera gel if its only on your face. Mine is starting clear up after about 36 hours later of putting on the aquaphor. I was so worried about makin sure the kids had sunblock on I forgot about myself!

You can mix some baking soda with water to form a paste & apply it, it helps to draw the heat out. I burned my shins really, really bad in Mexico, and I did that and also the dr told me to put hydrocortisone cream on several times a day. I worry though because it is on your face, you should see a dr. if you can get in today, otherwise I would say to go to urgent care - just to be safe.

That is a 3rd degree burn and it is on your face and that can be dangerous, you run into other issues and it can effect your breathing when you least expect it, you really need to see a doctor, not only that, you run the risk of infection with those types of burns, and sun poisoning. Ibuprofen will help with the pain.

Please take Steelers' advise and contact your doctor. Burns can be very very serious especially if infection occurs. I would not suggest this for 3rd degree burns, but for minor sunburns this remedy works: white vinegar, but some on a soft cloth and gently rub on the sunburn. Ok sure you smell like a freak, but only until it drys (or maybe you just get used to it I don't know) but it takes all the sting and hot out of the sunburn. Britnanie DO NOT DO THIS TO YOUR BURN PLEAAASSSSEEEEE see DR.

I had a sunburn really bad once. My face and arms were such a bright red and I wasn't done turning colors yet. It was so hot and hurt so bad. Well hubby took me out to eat that night and the lady at the bar we ate at raises EMU's. And she told me to use some EMU oil on it, she said it would take the hot away. I told her yea right. So she went and got me a bottle and said here try it but I will bet you will buy it. So I did. A lot of the people in the bar watched me, yes it is oil and it is slimey like baby oil. But within 5 min. I couldn't feel my sunburn any more ( and no I wasn't drinking either :P ) My burn didn't have the chance to blister because of the oil. But I can tell you that it was not cheap. But I paid the $10 for the little bottle and that was good enough for me just so I could sleep that night. I know you can buy it on-line but there may be some natural food/drug store near you that may carry it. It is just called EMU oil (EMU, if you don't know is a huge bird that looks like an ostrage sp??? ) Good luck with your burn. But I would also go see a doc. too.

Having 3rd degree burns, even if it is by sunlight, is very dangerous, especially if it is on the face. People don't realize that that could suddenly impair their airways and then you are in real trouble, not to mention the high risk a person runs for infections and scarring. You should go to the doctor.
