I told verizon I was disatified with there sevice. I could any reception in my area and didn't tell me that. The commerical says if I not satified I can go to a another carrier. They said the commerical didn't apply to me because if was a day after I purchased the phone. I have numberous e-mails stating I only owed 10.54. Now they are saying I owe 253.72. Not I received a letter from allied that I owe them. What should I do? I have a complaint in with the FCC.

Send a debt validation letter to Allied Interstate demnding complete documentation for the debt including detailed info as to how they arrived at the amount and proof that they even own the debt. They have a terrible reputation for collecting from the wrong parties and on expired debts. Read the info from another site below.

Quote:

"This company is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. Sloppy record keeping, failure to validate at every level, under-trained, uneducated collectors SEVERELY lacking in Fair Debt Collection Practices Act training.

Intellirisk must be making BIG bucks in collecting because they sure don't spend it to insure they comply with the laws. Student loans with these idiots is a nightmare. Most Allied collector's don't have a clue in handling even the most basic of consumer complaints. Loans that have been paid, in the wrong names and outdated credit bureau reporting are fast targets for lawsuits because Allied is unable or unwilling to respond.

If you receive a collection notice from Allied DISPUTE IT! Even though you will never receive a reply, it is important that you use the law to your advantage. Allied aptly fits the saying; "the right hand hasn't a clue what the left hand is doing" Brain-Dead! Idiots! Untrained!

May I state again....THANK GOD FOR THE FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT!! Someone in Washington must have had a dream about companies like Allied to enact the law. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

WATCH YOUR WALLET, YOUR CHECKBOOK AND YOUR CREDIT CARDS WHEN DEALING WITH THESE SLIPPERY CONS OF THE COLLECTION WORLD, THEY WILL EMPTY YOU OUT!"

Chances are they are charging you the fee for early termination of your contract, which is usually $175.00 and charging you for the fees you incurred during your time that you had and used or tried to use the phone. If they are not honoring the commercial advertising because it came out after your contract you may be stuck, I would try contacting Verizon directly-not the store or kiosk location in town, and speak to upper management supervisor, explain that you could not get service in your area and that the vendor did not explain that to you when you signed the contract, hopefully you will find a caring individual who will look into the matter for you and get the charges reversed. Good Luck, Pauli's Girl

Verizon doesn't care, they just want as much of your money as they can get! I've talked as far up the chain as i can get and the higher you go the more adamant they are about not talking to you because the bill is in collection.

Allied Interstate is trying to collect on a supposed Verizon debt without any documentation. What makes it worse is that one of three major credit monitoring companies, Experian, already resolved the matter. Both Verizon, whose billing is sloppy, and Allied Interstate are at fault.

Verizon through Solomon & Solomon and AlliedInterstate have been harassing us for the past year for a payment that we paid in October 2007 when we terminated service. We paid our "final" bill in September 2007 when they were supposed to terminate our landline and computer line. They mistakely did not terminate the computer line and charged us for an extra month of service. After arguing with them about the matter, we reluctantly paid the bill in October 2007 via electronic transfer from our bank. A year and a half later, they turned the collection over to Solomon and Solomon stating we did not paid the final bill. We produced the documentation of electronic payment to Solomon and Solomon and after some more arguing with Solomon and Verizon, we never heard anything back, so we assumed the matter was resolved. As a precaution, we filed a complaint through our State's Attorney General's Office and still did not hear anything about the resolution. Two months later, we mysteriously received a $75 Verizon gift certificate, which we thought must be a "we're sorry" resolution. We assumed incorrectly that the matter was resolved. Now a year later, AlliedInterstate is harassing us for the money once again. Not only did we pay for a Verizon mistake 2.5 years ago, now they want us to pay for the mistake again. How many times do we have to produce documentation showing that we paid!? It is not a lot of money, but I suspect that Verizon is scamming their customers through fraulent business practices to exhort money from customers -- or they are just plain stupid when it comes to their billing. They owe us a refund for money we should not have paid in the first place for their mistake, and they certainly need to absolve us of a debt we do not owe.

I rcvd a call from Allied asking to speak with another family member who does not live with me nor has any association with my phone number or address and yet Allied told me they were calling my number for this other person because they had my info as an "alternate" contact for the other family member. When I asked how they got my info, the rep would not answer, simply saying that their records showed my info. Now I'm stressing about how they got the info, did this family member use my info w/out my permission?

The call constantly then today I finally spoke with a so called supervisor who was so rude and then proceeded to hang up on me. My next step- B.B.B. ALLIED IS SCAMMING PEOPLE. BE AWARE!!!

Allied has been calling me last two month for $2665.00 credit from major retailer, when talk to them they gave 55% discount to settle the account with $1200.00 in 3 payment. After obtaining my checking account for three payment they were suppose to send me a Fax within half an hour with all the agreed term and stating "upon collecting $1200 this account will be considerate as it was paid in full. But fax never arrived, I called them next two days 10 times
but no result. I will be closing my checking account or ask bank to block the payment but that will cost me $ 30.00 for each check. I need some feed back what should I do, 1st check will be presented to my bank on 04/16/2010.

by the way Allied Interstate is located in Philippine not in USA. None the operator has American Accent and they don't use their Philippino name instead they use fake English first name like: Lori, Paula, J.C. so on.
