You should do the right thing and pay everything off -even more so b/c it's partially not your debt. If you don't you'll be helping to pass along a silent tax to the rest responsible citizens of this country must pay. Since the new Bankruptcy law came into force in Oct. of 2005, I've been astonished by how much Discover Card, Capital One, Citi,etc. have been able to lower my interest rates. ...On second thought I would suggest to look at all your options incl. bankruptcy.
