We had one baby at work this week, and our other expectant mom (who is having twins) was taken off work today due to pre-eclampsia.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Leah! Take care and rest up! I know how miserable that waiting can be, not to mention the discomfort! My second was late, they didn't induce much back then, and he weighed 10 pounds- :shock: I weighed 125 before I had him! Best of Luck-let us know when the baby comes..KAren :D

Your first? I was scared $hitless with my first. I had no idea what I was supposed to do with an 8 lb. boy! I got the hang of it after awhile. 10 years later I haven't screwed him up too much yet! His lil sis sure pushes his buttons though! :lol:

Oh Leah - I will keep you in my prayers. This is such an exciting time for you! Now if you happen to get the urge to wash the walls or move the furniture around - that is your spurt of energy and that means that it is very close to labor time! Just relax and enjoy this quiet time that you have right now, next week things will change in a very wonderful way for you and all of a sudden it will get very noisy aroung your house! Babies are the greatest!

LOL Irish I was washing walls and cleaning out closets for the last 2 months with my daughter. My house *was* sparkling clean. Wish I could muster up energy like that again!

I have been cleaning my place for two weeks straight...I even bathed all the cats!

You and me both! I hung wall paper in two of my rooms the week before I delivered one of my kids and painted all of the woodwork in the house. Now I can't get up the umph to wash the windows!

Hey Leah, you can always come to my house and do some cleaning if you get the urge! LOL, oh, I don't have a problem if you wash the dog either. Anything to help you along! LOL

I can't believe you washed your cats, now that is just plain crazy. No matter how much energy I had that would not be something I would muster up enough courage to do! Leah you will be a great mom if you are brave enough to put a cat in water, a baby will be a piece of cake for you.

LOL...My older two cats are pretty easy to bathe! My youngest is full of spit fire and vinegar and she was not so fun. But they all seem to have forgiven me!

With my second child, I went to the mall and walked all day. I was 3 days overdue and the walking actually worked. At 8:47 that evening my daughter was born.

I wish you all the best with your pregancy and new addition to your family! I can't have children due to my health, and so I admire and respect any women who can go through childbirth. I pray for a quick labor, and a healthy baby.

Thanks everyone! Debtfree...I too was told I would never have a child by two OBGYN's...you should have seen the look on my OBGYN's face when I went in for my first prenatal visit. Thats why no matter how bad things are between my husband and I, my lil baby is my miracle and no matter what struggles I go through in life, I have him! I honestly believe that this baby was God's way of telling me to get the he_ll out before it was too late :) So even if my labor is 72 hours long and painful, I still don't mind.

Since I don't think you've been on today, I hope this means that you have had your baby! If not, with my first child, everyone told me that she would be late, but of course she showed up two days early. And almost 22 years later, I'm not surprised, since that's the type of kid she is. My second child was two days late--and 17 years later, that's the type of kid SHE is...All I can say is, it's going to happen soon, so hang in there...

I got a PM from her on Friday and she has not replied today. I think she is already a Mom!

She is in labor as we speak, frogpatch!! She cleaned her house all weekend!!!! Maybe that moved things along!

Leah! I'm so happy for you. I'm sorry I haven't been able to get on this website in a while. I did send the clothes to you today so you should get them by Friday or Saturday. There are 2 boxes. I was so afraid you already had him and he would be too big for the baby clothes. When my boys start growing out of their clothes, you will sure be getting more. Hopefully I will be able to log in more next week when things start settline down a little more. My life has done a 180 in the last 2 months as I'm sure yours has and will when Xander is born. Hope your labor was short!
