I have been paying a ton in fees and was wondering if a refund was actually a possibility.

I've received 2 refunds from pdl's. And they were quite easy. You'll find that some pdl's will respect your letter regarding your state laws & refund you asap. Then there are ALL the others who will fight you tooth and nail. So, it is possible. I have 6 that I'm fighting with even though they are illegal in my state. I've overpaid them. I'd be happy with them just marking them PIF! But refunds are cool. You might get them depending on what pdl's they are....

I would say all in all I have received about 8 or 9 refunds. Some I got on my own but the majority of them came thru the Attorney Generals office because they are ILLEGAL in my state. KYSIDE38

I'm glad to read the above post! Because internet pdl's are also illegal in my state. I have been fighting and fighting with these pdl's; however, all the while filing complaints with my state attorney general's office and the Better Business Bureau. I'm hoping to goodness that the Attorney General's office can get some results. As these pdl's are nothing but HARRASSING to me. It gives me a little bit of hope anyway!

I received one refund from Whistler. Should have gotten one from MagnumZ, but no one will answer my letters and heck, I was informed, through Dennis Best at Debt Doctors, that my letters had to go to the West Indies, well we know I am not going to get a refund from there. I looked at things as a lesson learned, an expensive one, but a lesson none the less.

finallydebtfree, I am battling World Wide Cash Now as well...how did you get them to issue a refund? I am writing a letter to my AG now. I had taken 3 loans with them and overpaid and after I defaulted on my 4th loan they wanted me to pay just the principal. That's ok because I hadn't made any payments on the last loan, BUT I still would like some money back from the previous ones!
