I have had my experience with credit card debt and have moved passed that, but i recently applied for an auto loan thru a federal credit union and was declined due to outstanding medical bills. I went thru a rough time in my life almost four years ago and now need somewhere to start so i can get my car. I have a one year old who goes to an early educational school while i work towards my bachelors in social work. I need a reliable car, but must clear up my past so i am able to qualify for financing. Please assist me in closing my accounts one by one

There are hundreds of companies out there that will finance a car. The dealerships will almost always find a way. Of course the better your credit the lower the rate. As your credit improves you can always refinance. You must shop and don't be afraid of walking away if you think the deal is not good. The internet is great for checking rates and current values of car makes and models. Also the VIN number can tell you the history of the vehicle. Accidents, maintenance etc. It is a little harder to finance if you are buying privately.
