Alliedinterstate collections fake bill

This is the first bill collection, but not the first time that a book club has billed me for books that I asked not to be sent and sent back promply.
Will this effect my credit?

I just read yesterday on MSN.com under their money section about allied interstate and how they do things and don't really follow the law and harrass people, etc.
Do they have your SS number? I think it would be hard for them to put it on your credit report. I don't know if they would go by a house address or what to that. I know I have had things similar to that happen to me, but have not seen them on my reports. I am sure that someone with a little more knowledge on this will come along and correct me if I am wrong.
Ask them for a debt verification, with a copy of a signed contra
Ask them for a debt verification, with a copy of a signed contract & dates of payments. Chances are, they won't be able to produce this & will stop contacting you.
