I don't know what state you live in but for future reference look up the phone number for your local FBI and write it down, the the next time that she or anyone else from that place calls, tell them that if you get disconnected call this number. Give them the number for the FBI. See what happens then. They are investigating internet crimes and even have a complaint form on their web site.

this company just harrassed me at work - called me at least 7-8 times trying to verify my employment and they also said that i need an attorney AND that they were filing a case with the state! yet she won't send me any paperwork! i don't get it!

You need to contact Florida's Attorney General's Office ASAP and complain. The Florida AG's office is currently going after this company for illegal collection actvities and yet they continue to do this while under investigation. Contact Florida's AG office ASAP. You can go to their website for the contact info. and how to file a complaint. That is complete bull shit, sorry, but it is! :twisted: That is one hell of a threat, saying they are going to abuse your social security number, that is SACRED! Those B@stards, I swear I hope they go back to the pen!
