Got a response from the BBB today regarding National Opportunities d/b/a It's My Pay Day. As you've read my posts, you know that a refund "magically" appeared in my old bank account. So that's what these pdl's are doing. They are being contacted by the BBB, then they take action, then they respond to the BBB afterward like they've been angels all along. The BBB sent me the letter written by National Opportunities. It stated their state laws, blah, blah (the usual) but as a favor to me because of my obvious confusion (LOL!)they refunded the amount of overpayment and consider this closed, but that are not accepting any wrong-doing. They did it for good customer relations. LOL! Hell, I don't care! I got it marked closed and a refund! So I responded to the BBB and told them yes, I got the refund, the issue is closed. The BBB has been coming through on a few of these! So file!

Cannr, Good for you. You are fighting hard. Hope you soon will be payday loan free. Kyside38

I am fighting for a refund from Paydayselect. I was going to file with the BBB in about two minutes. My old account is still overdrawn do to new attempts by Route66 and Cashnet. My bank took me off deposit only and will not put me back on unless I go there personally. Can't get there until the weekend. How can I keep a refund from going to my overdrawn account and losing most of it? I was hoping for a check!

National Opportunities responded in their letter to the BBB that if the ACH credit did not go through, they would issue a check. The ACH credit did go through in my case though. State in your BBB complaint that you want a CHECK not an ACH credit, as your account as a block on it. They will give the information to the pdl.

SorrY Joshua Tree I scrolled past you. An attorney from the Huge law firm of Brian Cave called and spoke to my wife and asked that I call him so we could settle this. I think the last email where I said I was going to file a criminal complaint with the US attorney and get a lawyer and sue them finally got them to realize that I was really determined. I called him but could only leave a message. I could not ask him to call back because I can't discuss this at work and I just don't need the stress a night. I have enough. I will call him on Thursday again. They broke the federal law and they wanted me to pay them! Can you believe the arrogance. All I want is the hundred bucks they owe me. Nothing more. Now they have a mega law firm involved. Just give me my hundred bucks and lets move on!

Sheesh! Well, I have filed with the BBB, FTC, and sent my AG complaint...so I guess we will see. I haven't heard a peep from Geneva Roth for a few weeks now. Maybe they are just going to ignore me! Well, old account is closed anyway, so I'm not losing any more money...just wanted to go after them to get a $300 refund. :( I'm sorry to hear they are being such a**holes!

morningstarr, go for it! You know my motto - email them to death. God, I love email. And then when I file complaints with the BBB, I am very specific and detailed. That way when the BBB sends the complaint to the pdl, they read everything and know that I've kept track and have documentation, etc. So I really believe that helps. I don't give a short brief description. I go on and on! LOL! But that way my bases are covered. I honestly think that's what's worked for me. When the BBB contacts them, they've already closed it, refunded it, whatever - then they respond to the BBB. It's funny! They're still being sneaky and slimy in their own little way. But, hey, if it works, it works! Email them again and again. And make sure you file with the BBB. If you get responses that are nasty from the pdl, file with the BBB again. I've had a few that I filed twice. If they get nasty with me, I "update" my complaint to the BBB.
