Hit a bump with 500Fast

I emailed all my PDL's again today. I laid out what I borrowed - what I paid and asked for PIF or at the very least some communication. When I got home I had a friendly message from 500Fast wanting to talk about my email. Now all my emails stated in bold and underline that all communication was to be by email or US mail but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called. It started out very friendly but then it went down hill fast. The email he was referring to was the one I had left on the website asking for an email or mailing address to communicate with. I had paid over $1,000 on a $450 loan and he was willing to waive all future fees and interest if I would just pay them another $450. I told him he obviously had not read my email and no I would not be paying him another $450. He got very nasty and informed me he worked for the Collections department and I obviously had a wrong number. I kept asking him to just provide an email or US mail address of the "right" person to write to and he just ignored my request and kept spewing about me not wanting to pay my debt. Then he hung up. I'm giving the AG until next week to make contact with me because of the holiday and then I will be writing him again. I can just tell it is going to get ugly.


Oh, mperez, honey, you've hit a BIG bump with 500! They are part of MTE. My friends, MTE. They will demand you pay MORE money on top of what you already owe. They will claim they do not have a mailing address. They will email you and claim they are not the pdl. They will claim they are not MTE. They will lie to the agencies when they are contacted by them. I've emailed them, spoken with them, mailed them, etc. We've gone round and round. We had the BBB between us. They won't budge. And they lie. My advice? File a complaint AGAIN against the pdl 500. Then also file a complaint against MTE. Include your "discussion" with them. They pulled the same crap on me. And I have 3 pdl's with MTE (which they claim not to be). The keep telling me I'm "confused". LOL! File again and file one against MTE themselves.

I'm feeling really down right now - I don't know what I thought was going to happen when I started this but I just hate the confrontation, lies and being made to feel like scum. I'm done for the night, I took some meds to help me sleep so I can stand stronger tomorrow. I know your right - I have at least 4 PdL's with MTE - that's how I knew how to email them today - I went on their websites last nite and they appear to be different but when you start looking at their different tabs they all come up identical. I'm screwed if I don't get the AG on my side - worst case they will have to settle for a payment plan because I'm not going to give up my paycheck again. What was that line from Gone with the Wind? Tomorrow is another day.

It's exhausting, yes. But, please do not give up. You are right. They are wrong. And, unfortunately, MTE is the hardest one right now. However, they are illegal. Always keep that in your mind. And as bflow stated, we've started just doing one pld a day. I was CONSUMED in the beginning. But doing one a day makes a difference. As far as your pdl's with MTE are concerned, they are blow hards. They are liers. Keep that in mind too. Stick to your guns. You know they are illegal. And they're lying will come out in the end. If they offer you "settlements" of more money than you owe (which they have a tendency to do) do not take the "settlement". Th only "settlement" you should consider is YOUR state law amount minus the amount you already paid. If you've overpaid them, they can stick it up they butt. I've filed more than once on them. I don't care. Everyone will probably get tired of hearing from me, but as I said, they are illegal. They are illegal in your state and my state and bflow's state. Don't back down. And don't let it consume you. Easier said than done, but slowly, I'm doing it. I'll just do one at a time now. Hopefully, I'll get good results. But please hang in there and don't have a "bad day". There's always tomorrow. And one day, these guys will be gone. It's a fight, but if we can help other people to not be victimized like we have been, then our work was worth it. Okay? Hang in there, because I'm always reading on how you're doing! I want to see some more positive results like some PIF's for you!!! We're on your side. You're not alone.

MPEREZ, Don't let them get to you like that. It is hard but we're all here for you and each other. I have a pdl w/ 500fastcash too. Sounds like I'm in for this fight in the near future.(they haven't responded to my emails yet) Can't wait. But I know that I have to take this stand. I can't keep giving to them. I can't live on what I'm left with after these guys are done so I have to stop them. There are so many here on this site that are fighting. and so many out there who haven't found this info yet. Hang in there! Let us all help you through.

MPerez, Listen to everyone here! Don't let these pdls affect your life this way - they are NOT worth it. They are illegal operations, they use several d.b.a's and are masters at lying to the BBB, AG's and to YOU. Just hang up the phone, demand they put everything in writing and go on with your day! You'll be fine!
